December 29, 2006
New layout. A lot of the sections are now under construction as a result, mostly the image galleries as well as the character profiles; they don't exist yet. I'll try to get the place more cleaned up throughout January, but there's a lot to reorganize.

Level 51 uploaded. Just as a notice, I'm going to try to finish up the story as quickly as possible. I won't be able to do a lot of the side stories I had initially planned, like the Anju and Kafei sidequest, but I'll work on getting the main story done. Expect a lot of exposition to occur in the upcoming chapters.

This isn't as much of an update as much as it is an apology. I promise that I am working on Level 50, but I also have school, work, and numerous other websites and endeavors to take care of. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm not giving up on this project, not by a long shot, and thank you for your patience. I know I have loyal readers out there, and you all rock! Feel free to e-mail me or IM me anytime to nag me about updating :D

Two new illustrations up under DPI's gallery. Also, I joined a Xenosaga LJ RPG called We All Float (as Shion Uzuki and Azuka Kasim). If you're interested, we need some competent writers to join us! It allows both game characters and fan-created characters, and as of the time of this writing we are in dire need of a KOS-MOS, Ziggy, and Jin.

Short Stories was updated with an Ah! My Goddess parody, and there's one new piece of art under DPI's gallery. And yes, I'm working on Level 48. I'm about a third done writing/drawing it. I'm also a contestant in SketchWar under the alias of "love a riddle", so please check it out and support me if you feel like it.

Level 47 up. This is an interesting occasion, since I honestly don't have a page of Level 48 done (well, except sketches for the cover and title pages). Life's been hectic and dramatic and all "emo" lately (if you can call this past year and a half "lately"), so we'll see when the next Level will be available. I know I have a few (like, two) faithful readers out there, and I apologize. I fully intend to see this project to the end, though. Thanks for your patronage.

One new image up in DPI's illustration gallery, joined one more clique, and Level 36 is finally up. A good amount of drama in life, such as my sister's wedding this weekend and a few other personal problems. Also, a good amount of time has been going into maintaining my Ah! My Goddess fansite, Open Your Mind, which focuses on manga-to-anime comparisons. If you like Ah! My Goddess, check it out.

Lots of new artwork up in both DPI and DPII's galleries. I'm also buckling down and writing again, so newer chapters will hopefully be coming a lot quicker as I move the story along. I don't have a new Level for you, because for the past two weeks my computer has been reformatted and I had to reinstall a lot of things. But hopefully I'll be able to keep on track, and if I'm lucky by next week or two I'll have another Level to showcase.

Two new illustrations under Distant Promise I and two new illustrations under Distant Promise II. I also finally finished drawing Level 44, and added in the cover art for Volume 04. Still, actual time to scan in and edit the next Level seems doubtful considering my schedule. I'll do what I can do.

You'd think that drama would know when to go away. And job hours. And school stress. And me getting hooked onto Final Fantasy X again. I'll get the next Level done when I'm able to, but I've been less able to get online, and when I do, it's more than likely I'm eagerly awaiting a fansub of the new Ah! My Goddess TV series. But I have new illustrations for y'all! Enjoy them!

I finally updated with a new Level. I wish everybody a happy holidays. Anyway, there's a lot of drama going on in my life right about now, so I apologize. Next week the day after Christmas I'll be in Mexico for a week, but as I've mentioned before I hope to start in January with updating consistently every two weeks.

More illustrations under DPI, and a new Chang-chan installment. For December I actually plan to put up a Distant Promise chapter or two, and hopefully in January I'll be able to update regularly biweekly. Not sure if anyone even visits this site anymore, though.

While I was file-mining, I found a bunch of old pictures of Distant Promise, so I uploaded them into the Illustration Galleries for you to see. There's two new DPII ones as well as thirteen new Distant Promise ones.

Hi, everyone, and I'm exceptionally apologetic for the lack of updates recently. You see, I just started college last month, and my harddrive containing Distant Promise was switched over to being my secondary hard drive without my permission, and it decided to screw up and make all of my files in capital letters. This is a very bad thign because HTML is case sensitive, and since I had planned to reupload all of the current Levels after I make navigation on them easier, that's a lot of files. Also, my scanner had decided to not work with my imaging program, so I need that fixed also. However, I managed to spruce up the page a bit and now the Illustrations are revamped as well with new artist's commentaries, and more or less everything except the Levels have been updated. Again, I sincerely apologize, and please bear with me. And, yes, I've been playing games like Tales of Symphonia, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, and Phantom Brave. Get off my back.

I've returned with massive peelage from a major sunburn. It's not that pretty. However, I've updated the Illustrations page with tons of new illustrations and hopefully by the end of next week I'll be back on schedule with updating each weekend with a new Level. I'll also attempt to tamper with the page layouts a little, although the comic pages will recieve minor tamperage; the most I'll do is attempt to make them easier to navigate for future Levels, but the past ones will stay in their current format.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, and I won't be able t update for another month or two either. Summer's been hectic and with me entering college and stuff I wasn't able to draw as much as I'd like to, much less scan in and edit Levels for your viewing pleasure. However, once I get settled down with my new schedule and am through with vacations and trips and general chaoticity, I'll scan in a few new pictures I've drawn over the past few weeks as well as attempt to begin again with posting a new Level every week or two. Thanks for your patronage.

My brother's getting married today, so congratulations to him. Also, if you want to show your support for licensing live-action Japanese drama shows such as Pretty Guardian Sailormoon or other sentai shows such as unmutilated Go Ranger or Rider series, click here and inform other people as well. I uploaded Tori and Rei's profiles, new pieces of illustrations, and finally Level 30. Due to the business of my schedule, the next few weeks I may not be able to supply Levels each and every week, but I'll try to update with other tidbits as well.

I won't be updating with new Levels next week since I'll be away on a missions trip to Mexico... so I'm giving you a treat and giving you this week's quota. I added a Jing wallpaper, and I updated the Links. I'm also in the planning stages for a new side project involving FFX-2's Lenne and Shuyin, so look forward to that. Or not. Up to you, really.

Levels 18-20 now up. However, from next week on until I catch up with the pace I'm writing these, I'll be posting two new Levels a week instead of three. Volume 02 now has a cover, and I uploaded more artwork in the Illustrations section.

Levels 15-17 are now up. I also added a few new illustrations. The new Miscellaneous section includes comics I do for the heck of it that aren't related to Distant Promise. I also turned nineteen today. Yay.
